MID-TERM PAPER

Dear Students,

You are expected to write a mid-term paper. The paper should expose the main idea of the following topics: 1) the origin of Sociolinguistics; 2) the place of sociolinguistics in the scope of Lingustics; 3) language variation and change (language variation includes frozen style, formal style, consultative style, casual style, and intimate style); 4) dialect  and idiolect; 5) regional and social  dialects (social dialect includes acrolet, bacilet, vulgar, s;ang, colloquial, jargon, argot, and cant); and 6) code switching and language choice.

The paper can be in Indonesian or English (it is better in Indonesian)

Submit your paper on the date of the  mid-term test (see the mid-term test schedule)
